‘Wrecked’ is a play about a young man dealing with the consequences of his offending behaviour and attitudes. It is the story of how he comes to make decisions which affect the course of his life. It is the story about choices that affect relationships around him.
As we follow the central character through adolescence, exploring a big new world around him, working out his role in the pecking order, swayed by temptations, it becomes clear that his choices are not working out for him. They are damaging to himself, his friends and family. Something needs to change to waken him to his senses.
Through the story the audience are asked ‘Can the reckless become the responsible? Can the problem become the solution? Can the prodigal become the honourable?
