Prison Workshops

Enabling offenders to create their own theatre performances whilst simultaneously exploring aspects of offending behaviour, our drama workshops in prison have been described as ‘putting conversation on its feet.’

A typical workshop might include:

  • Warm up
  • Group cohesion and trust building exercises
  • Introductory level drama techniques
  • Examples of short pieces of theatre enacted by the company
  • Devising scenes
  • Reflection

  • Using theatre to develop confidence and inter-personal skills.
  • Using applied drama to explore peer relevant issues around offending behaviour
  • Developing skills around performance and devising
  • Using exercises and story to consider attitude and motivation to change
